UCS-C Cisco Supported Backups

Hi,

I have a customer that is asking about VMWare backups and Backups for the VM Machines.  I cant seems to find any documents on the Cisco site that states what the supported backup tools are.  Does anyone know?

Are you referring to hardware solution or software solutions.

I dont know that Cisco would impose restrictions on an application running on an OS.  OS restrictions I can see as it interacts directly with the hardware.  Applications running on the OS, I dont think you are going find any guidance from Cisco.  The application developer may provide some guidance.

For hardware attached to external SAS ports on the qualified array controller, I dont think external storage solutions are being qualified by Cisco.
