I'm having similiar issues with v4 sensors. I get the null emails with no variables since we applied Service Pack Update S91. I tried adding the variable to the script too, but it broke email completely.Can anyone help us out here?
I've tried FTP in the past when the webpage download failed, and it always failed. FTP only works when you can also download it via the web page so obviously the actual file isn't there.
