2000+ routers are a lot of routers to be pluging console cable.... To be honest I don't know if this will work but here it's: Try to write or modify an EEM script such as this one https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2139927 with the instructions of factory reset http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps5187/products_tech_note09186a00802017a1.shtml If you decide to take this path and need help writing the EEM script, please let me know. 1.) Make sure vlan 40 is created "sh vlan" if not go to Global config mode and type "vlan 40" press enter "name ILO_Access" 2.) communication between server and switch in your case has to be done by switch in access mode so go to the interface fastethernet 13 "conf t" "inter fast 0/13" and type "swichtport access vlan 40" I usually also do "switchport host" 3.) make sure that your vlan 40 is terminated at a layer 3 device for routing purposes. 4.) I also reccomend an inespensive internet connection dedicated for your ILO vlan. 5.) This has been covered before. Please take a look at https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2155657 On top of that you have statically configured the port in access mode and the other is in dynamic disarable mode. it shouldn't make any difference but I just thought to point that out. HTH, Fabio

Hey, Your problem may be related to your routing table. Looking at the config of the router 1811 you have "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 141.0.59.x" which is correct for internet traffic. Try pinging a public IP using the internal interface as source like:"ping 8.8.8.8 source Fastethernet1" and see if it works. if it isn't the routing I guess it will be an access list that you created while creating the VPN. Hi Joseph, Thanks for the post. It's a dedicated SAN switch, other than the management vlan there is nothing else. There is no QOS the switch is doing FIFO. Joseph at the moment we only have storm-controlI set on the interfaces restricting broadcast traffic. 'll give it a crack at the flow control option, thanks for pointing that out! Cheers, Fabio

Hey Leolaohoo thank you very much for taking the time. What you mentioned above is exactly the reason for this discussion... Basically the total output drops of the interfaces connected to the SAN have big output drops. The interface Gig0/1 above has been cleared the counters hence the number is small + the heavy activity on the SAN had ceased. Don't you find strange the amount of drops shown on most ASIC ports? I have a Catalyst Switch that is been used as a SAN switch providing ISCSI connection for servers. The total output drops of the interfaces connected to the SAN and some connected to the servers keep increasing. Hi All, I'm investigating an issue in our network where we get some packet loss accross our Man link. The Man is formed by two interfaces in each switch forming a etherchannel set to LACP in active mode. I noticed that SWE2-1 has one interface media 10/100/1000BaseTX and the other 1000BaseLX SFP. I believe this is not an issue but happy to hear your experience with that. Question: MTU Jumbo size don't match. is this an issue?
