Cisco configuration professional 2.8 is the last full version for a long time. I see the useless express versions have been actively developed and several 3.x releases but not for the full version. I have searched and have not found any information on this. Does anyone know if the full version of CCP is still being developed and when there may be a new release? Hopefully a less problematic release.

RE ihiji: I have to say any time I go to a product site and you cannot find pricing the assumption is that it is expensive. And it typically is. Maybe I am cheap buy we use a combination of Nagios variant, Cacti, Spiceworks, Uvnc and VPN tunnels. We host everything ourselves. We love open source and hate being under the control of other companies.

I would like to also comment that this is one of the dangers of going to a cloud hosted system rather than having your own in-house systems. You become at the mercy of the providor. This is only one example.

We have also been seing this problem for a long time with most versions of IOS. Very annoying. Nice to find a work around but it would be even nicer to see this fixed. Hey Cisco, can you please address this!

I would also suggest Netflow and a way in the built-in interface to view traffic and utilization on a per protocol and per host basis.

One other thought, is the HTTPS traffic being inspected somewhere? Maybe on the client end. We have often found firewall inspections slow down certain traffic. HTTP traffic is often more deeply inspected where IPSEC traffic is not.

IPSEC VPN does not need to be between two routers. It needs to be between two IPSEC devices. I did manage to get it working and have six Avaya phones working. This was my first and probably my last SA540. The documentation is poor at best and the SA540 feature set is somewhat incomplete. I will be sticking with IOS routers for now. They are MUCH more capable.

I am setting up an Avaya phone to establish an IPSEC connection to an SA540. I have been successful establishing a connection but only when setting the remote identifier type to "Remote WAN IP" and entering the exact client IP address. As out clients will not have a fixed IP address, How do I get the SA540 to accept the client from any IP address? If I do not set the Remote Identifier to the correct IP or use FQDN I get this in the SA540 IPSEC log" ERROR: Could not find configuration for x.x.x.x[500]
