Carllarson,It has been so long ago, that I don't remember exactly. But I seem to recall the backup supervisor card was installed and the router was pulling a config from that device and loading it into memory. I hope this helps and good luck.

Thank you for the reply. Both switches ran the 15.0(2)SE8 and failed.
I upgraded both switches to the 15.2(4)E and the stack failed.
Both switches are running the same IOS, but still fail to stack.
Any other ideas?
