Hello world, I'm looking for an appropriate SD-Access solution for very small sites. Like 5-15 LAN ports. Looking into Fabric in a box deployment with hosts directly connected to it. Could I use a small 9200 switch as FiaB in this scenario? Or even a...
When researching SD-Access, the most referenced guide seems to be the Cisco SD-Access Solution Design Guide (CVD), which is over 4 years old. This seems outdated for a technology with so much hype and marketing. The same goes for the Software-Defined...
Hello Cisco world,I'm currently troubleshooting a problem, where I want to see if specific packets (e.g. ICMP) are entering and/or leaving a specific switch ports. I used tcpdump (bash-4.2# tcpdump -i Eth1-2) via bash-shell, but all I see are rapid s...
Hello world! As mentioned in the subject, I want to know the traffic flow of a wireless client connecting to a "Mesh MAP" which is running in Bridge+FlexMode. The client is connecting to a FlexConnect SSID, therefore traffic shall be bridged "locally"...
Hello world! We are looking for a scalable and easy to manage solution, to connect a neighboring building (Building B) to the core network (Building A). There are no wires between these buildings and the connection must be wireless only. In Building B...
Please share output for one or two APs where you think they have a lot of neighbors and therefore should reduce the transmit power. I want to see how many neighbors they see and with which signal strength. show ap name <ap name> neighbor summaryYou c...
How far away from each other are these access points? The RRM algorithm needs to see multiple strong access points before it starts changing the power levels. If an AP sees no neighbors, it's running on maximum power. I also noticed that all your APs...
I had this issue in my lab setup today. I've installed two new (independent) 9800-CL WLCs in the same subnet. Two APs joined WLC#1 but got disconnect from time to time and reconnected to WLC#1 with similar log messages as yours. Problem disappeared w...
Fabric APs at some sites yes, other sites not (yet). SDA-Transit probably yes. Idea is to have similar setup/configuration for all 50 sites. Having a mix of SDA and traditional networking would add additional complexity.
