We have begun using the new generation of 3850 switches, specifically WS-C3850-24P-P switches. We use the switch to supply DHCP for the VLANs. We are running software version: cat3k_caa-universalk9, version 03.03.00SESo, we built the pool according...
Hi Everyone, We have an ASA 5540 at our data center, with ASA 5505's at most remote sites. At the sites without layer 3 switches behind the ASA 5505's, we can't reach the data center internal network through the ASA for flow-export, etc. So, what I'm...
So, we have put in a branch with only an ASA. We want to be able to reach the inside interface of the ASA, so that we can use tools for network monitoring, etc. on it. The inside interface is unreachable from remote VPN locations, though can be reac...

Ok, maybe what I'm telling you isn't sinking in. There are probably 100 clients in the office. These clients get one address each. Oftentimes, all 100 will be in the office at once. When they are all there, it doesn't matter if the lease is 5 minu...
1. If the VLAN was out of scope, addresses would not be handed out, which is happening successfully. 2. If VLAN was shut down, addresses would not be handedout.Addresses are being handed out. Just not enough of them. It is not a layer 2 issue.
Why would the VLAN number make a difference? And no, no need to post them as they don't affect this. The requests are coming in on the right VLAN and assignment of IP addresses is happening on the right vlan.
Again, that shortens the lease, but doesn't solve the problem. When my office is filled with staff, there still won't be enough addresses, as the system isn't handing out the full range. This is still a problem.
