Yes, I would only put both the 1gig and 10gig Fiber with the MPLS connection in one VLAN and keep all other traffic on the switch on different vlans, so that the MPLS connection is not disturbed by any other traffic.

so Prime does realize that an power supply or such failed via the normal SNMP/Telnet checks, but it does only give E-Mail alerts if it gets these errors via snmp-trap? (And I have to configure snmp-trap on every device?)
