Binding Singaling and Media on Multiple loopback interface

Dear All,

As i have reseached a week ago about binding signaling and media over voice gateway but seem no any clue about binding signaling+ Media on multiple loopback interface.

The reason i ask like this because i have reserved pool of 192.168.0.1/24 for my voice network and binded signaling + media to only 1 of loopback interface my voice gateway but one day there are some bgp flaping at ISP provider caused this IP pool range suspend then all my call could not go thru.

I am using AS5400 Version 12.4(11)T4. I wonder how can we bind signaling and Media on 2 loopback IP address?

Example= Binding signaling + media on loopback interface1 ip=192.168.0.1 and lookpback interface2= 10.0.0.1 together. Once such problem above happened again then call can send from souce loopback2 interface? Please advice.

What is your signalling protocol?

SIP?

In fresh IOS 15, you can configured HSRP on loopback interface. The HSRP IP address is used as bind interface to prevent flapping.

With latest IOS, the working should be the same (H.323 or SIP).

If can support binding on multiple loopback interface so will it duplicate billing to partner in single call ?

Billing uses the unique call-id of a call to generate a CDR.

So the interfaces are not important.
