Hi,
Our Voice bandwidth is consuming around 30Kbps per call. Our WAN bandwidth is STM1 via MPLS. We are planning to do compression on the line.
I'm worried is we use ip rtp header compression, it will consume alot of CPU process because most traffic that will go thru the STM-1 is voice traffic.
Can you suggest other way to lessen the BW consumed for teh voice traffic?
Thanks,
Rachelle

Rachelle,
You can try to increase your codec packetization size/more voice samples within a packet/ thus reducing the packet rate which will decrease the total bandwidth.
Let me know if this helps.
