I have a analogue line from a provider here in China problem is they cannot give when I answer the line a DID or Dnis.
topo
analogue pstn----fxs card in GW---Sip trunk--- Cisco Fax Server
Can I connect this analogue line to a FXS on that GW then a dialpeer that gives me the extension number DID when y Fax servers answers the call?
Thanks,
Marco

No. DID on analog lines is supported in North America only. In china, you need ISDN BRI or PRI to receive DID.
Note, you use FXO to connect to PSTN, not FXS.

Thanks and yes I ment a fxo but would it not be possible to give the FXO a extension or fictive extension to pass this on to the T.38 Sip trunk as Dnis?

Sure, you can set a fixed destination with "connection plar" and all faxes would go there.

ok, but does that also give me the extension where this call came from? I need to receive the DNIS or DID where this call came from otherwise I can not route it to the appropiate fax user inbox.

Yes, called-number = DNIS = plar target.
