PSTN access via pbx

Dear all

we have our access to pstn via Ericcson pbx(MD110)

our callers want hear pstn dial tone after pressing 9.

right now they can access pstn but without hearing pstn dail tone

please let me any hint or idea.

Are you using Callmanager for call control? If so, you can check the "Provide outside dial tone" box on the route pattern(s) that point to the PBX for PSTN access.

secondary-dialtone STRING

Previously mentioned CUCM:

'Provide Outside Dialtone' on route pattern

On a gateway with a PRI:

dial-peer voice x pots

incoming called-number 9

That allows the user to hear dial tone from the router, and it will forward it from there.

This can also be done on the PBX, through their own means.
