Can anyone help me in setting up QoS on a Cat 6506 and on a Cisco 3825 Router for VoIP. The CM/Unity/IPCC are all one VLAN.
Could Auto-QoS be an alternative if I do not want to deal with manually configuring the switch & the router.
Pls advice.
Thx

George,
You want to review the QoS SRND for the commands to apply to this gear. The SRND is broken down into sections for the different technologies. You specifically want to reference the Campus QoS design section for the Catalyst and Wan Aggregator/Branch Router sections for the router. I recommend you read most of the book so you can get an understanding of Cisco's QoS strategy as a whole. Worst case if you want to go to the individual sections and just use the commands, then set your queue sizes to the default percentages provided.

Hi,
i think you can use auto qos, and then just fine tune what is not apropriate for your network.
Anyway it is a good idea to get familiar with qos cause you might get in trouble if not.
