Sip Aware / Sip Nat / Stateful Nat

I have a Cisco ASA 5506 firewall and have been having trouble with ATT and getting VoIP phones working in our office. The provided instruction to make a few changes to my firewall config. One of the requests is to enable Sip Aware / Sip Nat / Stateful Nat. I am not familiar with those terms and have not had much luck on google. Everything I'm finding refers to SIP ALG, which has been disabled in my firewall as suggested by our phone vendor. When I asked ATT for more clarification they pointed me to Cisco support. So my question is, is Sip Aware / Sip Nat / Stateful Nat a function that I can enable in my ASA 5506 and if so, how? Is that just 3 terms for the same setting? Let me know if more details are needed and thanks in advance for any insight.

open ports 5060 (and or 5061) and turn on sip inspection on the ASA. if it still doesnt work, include a sip trace in this post and provide IP addresses.Typically this breaks down because SIP SDP's dont change when crossing a sip boundary
