Hi Everyone
I am trying to regsiter the FXS ports of a VG248 gateway to a cisco callmanager express router runing ios c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T3.
from the VG248 gateway i can ping the router running callmanager express and vice versa.
this is the configuration on the VG248
ip address 200.32.198.22
subnet mask 255.255.255.224
default router 200.32.198.1
callmanager TFTP server 200.32.198.5
and this is the config on the router running callmanager express
ephone 20
no multicast-moh
device-security-mode none
mac-address 0BBE.5CB9.D623
max-calls-per-button 2
type vgc-phone
button 1:20
telephony-service
directory entry 8 2019 name test
I know that to register a port you have to put example port 23 at the end of the Mac address of the VG248 and remove 2 digit from the front, that will be the Ephone mac address on the callmanger express.
when i do a show ephone unregistered on the CCME router this is what i get
ephone-20[19] Mac:0BBE.5CB9.D623 TCP socket:[-1] activeLine:0 whisperLine:0 UNREGISTERED
mediaActive:0 whisper_mediaActive:0 startMedia:0 offhook:0 ringing:0 reset:0 reset_sent:0 paging 0 debug:0 caps:0
IP:0.0.0.0 0 Unknown 0 keepalive 0 max_line 0 available_line 0
Preferred Codec: g711ulaw
i dont know why the port is not registering and i realy need to bring up this gateway, so any help will be highly appreciate, thanks in advance for your help.

Can you post the full CME config? Is CME working for IP phones on the same network?
Does the DHCP server give out option 150 with the TFTP address of CME?
Then get this debug during a registration attempt:
debug ephone register
debug tftp event
