8961 unable to register

I am new to UCM.  I have a UC520 and am trying to get a 8961 running but the phone will not register.

- UC500 supports 8961 since after SWP8.6. https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-24980

- you have to configure SIP phone profile first to get registered, recommend to use CCA. no auto registrartion.

still need some help, please provide details

Hi,

What is the IOS version?
What is the CME version?
When you try to configure the phone can you see the model on the "type" command?

Please share the current configuration of the uc500.
