I'm using the SPA 303 handset. After looking around the web for solutions to use an unused line for BLF for my assistant's extension, it's not exactly working after following instructions. Their name/ext shows on the unused line but this appears to be just a speed dial.
Here are the steps I made in the online configuration utility:
- Go to Admin Login > Advanced
- Click on the Attendant Keys tab
- Server Type: Asterisk
- Subscribe Expires: 1800
- Click on the Phone tab > Line 3
- Extension: Disabled
- Short Name: (assistant's name)
- Share Call Appearance: Private
- Extended Function: fnc=blf+sd;sub=hosted-51030.voxconnect.me;ext=2472
- Click Submit All Changes
When my assistant's line is in use or her phone is ringing, the light doesn't change.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
