Cannot configure SPA112

I just purchased the SPA112 earlier and cannot configure this unit, not sure if it is a defective unit, please provide assistance.

Trying to configure using browser:

- Connect ethernet cable from my computer to the internet port on the SPA112, cannot open 192.168.15.1

- Checked the IP, showing 169.254.x.x address, so I configured it to static IP 192.168.15.5 so it's on the subnet (also entered gateway IP and DNS as 192.168.15.1)

- Still can't open 192.168.15.1, can't ping 192.168.15.1 , I checked IPCONFIG/ALL and the PC is showing IP 192.168.15.5

Then I tried to configure using the phone, plug it into the phone port:

- Entered 100# to check the connection type, keep getting the main greeting

- Entered 101#, then 1# for static IP

- Entered 111#, then entered 192*168*0*3  (this is the static IP that I want to configure it to on my LAN), then press 2 to confirm the number is there, press 1# and got the message that number saved. 

- Entered 110#, the IP announced is 0.0.0.0

- Tried again 3 times, each time made sure that it was saved, still showing 0.0.0.0

Factory reset, then tried again, same thing, no luck.

Is this a defective unit?  Can't connect to it using the browser to 192.168.15.1, can't save entry using the phone, should I return it to the store?

I just purchased a SPA 112 and I have the same problem than Quoc. A factory reset, hardware (red buton) and software menu option "73738", don't change anything.

I have follow the link from your mail, but there isn't phone number from Cisco Small Business Support Center for SENEGAL and the number "08 05 54 04 27" for France is not reachable since SENEGAL.

Did you have another solution, please?
