Hi Cisco Team,

When trying to load the CUCCM (For SCC) it hangs on "Establishing database connection to localhost" and I cant work out how to get it past that...

Has anyone experienced this before and if so how did you get past this?

Cheers,

David.

(PS) I am not a Windows server guy, so please feel free to treat me like an idiot on this one so I can at least understand what you are trying to tell me

No takers on this issue??

Yikes, seems I could be on a long dark lonely road

Hate it when we buy NFR stuff and don't get support with it, I guess when it is used in a LAB environment support is the last thing that is thought about...

MEH! Will have to do some radical things now which I was hoping to avoid.

Cheers,

David.

Just a shot in the dark here David, but could it be a firewall issue?

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the advice, and I did check it and made sure everything was enabled... Still no joy in getting passed this stage:

I never held high hopes for any Windows based programs, this stuff would have been so much more easier if only they used the flash card on the UC to manage all this as you can run a web server on it, you could also accomplish this using scripting or SOAP and then use flash similar to what FOP uses on Asterisk systems, there is nothing worse then having to work with servers that you do not own or control.

SIGH!!!

I have done all that I can with this including a complete uninstall, CCLEANER of the server and then reinstall and still the same problem. ARRRGGGGG!!!

Cheers,

David.

Bummer.  Almost like the database service isn't running.

I used that program for a couple of weeks and it worked ok on Vista 32bit, firewall turned off.  Wish I could offer something more helpful

Hi All,

This is a known issue in version 1.6 and has been corrected in the latest version 2.1 that is available for download at www.cisco.com/go/smartcallconnector for SCC products or www.cisco.com/go/unifiedcallconnector for UCC products

The stuck is also occurred intermittently after the PC is reboot. Please restart all the services in CTI Manager that can be found at Start menu-All Programs-Cisco System.

Regards,

CallConnector Team

Hi Shtalukd,

As you can see per my image I am running the latest version of SCC Server...

As I said before, this worked for a period of time because I was able to set it up and configure all the information, then out of no where it stopped loading up, the Database works because all the clients can get to it, however I cannot add/move/change anything because it just gets stuck at that section as per the image.

As I already pointed out, this is running on Windows so I expected this kind of nonsense to happen and thus am very Glad to have steered the sales guys from selling it because it just "BLOWS" never have I had an SCC/UCC Install work properly or even install properly, and the two that just got sold in the last 4 months still do not work as required.

Cisco have Jaba, and long before they purchased it I was using it with Asterisk and it worked fantastic on a Linux server using MySQL and Web GUI, again this whole path of moving down the Windows path when we are moving in a web based experience environment still boggles the mind.

However thankfully I am moving on and don't have to worry about this stuff anymore, but none-the-less the person to come after me is going to have to deal with it and I pity him

As being apart of the call connector team, I can only say you really need to look at the path you are taking your products, the reliance on windows was a bad move.

Cheers,

David.
