I am trying to configure the SPA525G phones with the UC500 box, however it only works when uscing SCCP, when I switch to SIP, the phone stops working. I found a few documents googling it but nothing that gives me a complete handle on how to configure a SPA525G using SIP on the LAN side. I would appreciate if some one can point me through any sort of documentation for it. I am okay with both the CLI and the GUI method. Thanks in advance.

Do a search for "Integrating SPA8000 with UC500". Even though this is for an ATA, the options are similar.

Apprecite the quick response. It was very helpful. I got SIP working on the LAN using SPA525G phone using the link you provided.

Marcos,
I ran into one issue, I guess I spoke to soon. I have one SIP extension on all lines wokring fine on the SPA525G without any issues, however to setup the second SIP phone number for second line, I seems to be having some issues. The system will configure all 5 extensions to be same number, ie, 1001 in this case. Could this below be causing this? Under the voice register pool, I dont see the SPA525G phone listed.
UC520(config)#voice register pool 1

You shouldn't need the type command to make this work. The config of the ATA should work for this setup. I haven't tried this with SIP and the 525 phone, but the configuration for the lines should be on the 525 phone. I am guessing it is not configured correctly from the 525 web page.

I'll double check the SPA525 configs, if one extension works, other ought to work as well. Will post configs, if I get no where. Thanks for the help.
