Hello everyone,
We are deploying a UC560 NFR in our company as demo kit and we are facing an issue.
When connecting the IP Phones CP=521_524SG on the UC560, we have the message "downloading XMLDefault.cnf.xml" on the phone's screen permanently!!! The phone is unable to register. After making some cheking, we discover that the firmware and configuration files contained in the UC560 is from CP=521_524G!!
Can someone have the solution? We bought a smarnet Pro but Cisco tell us that it is not yet ready for our region!!!!
Witing urgently...

"Can someone have the solution? We bought a smarnet Pro but Cisco tell us that it is not yet ready for our region!!!!"
Do you have a TAC case that I can lookup?
From the datasheet the only difference b/w the 52XG and the 52XSG is the addition of the 10/100 PC switch port.
"The 521SG and 524SG phones offer customers the additional option of having a 10/100 switch port for LAN connection to a co-located PC."
The firmware should be the same for both G and SG models.
Can you verify that the phone got the proper IP address and TFTP address?
Thanks,
Anthony

Hello antony,
I've just open a case at cisco partner support. I will open a case at
TAC today.
But for your information, I have check already the IP address of the
phone and TFTP which are both correct. The problem is that the
firmware of CP 5x1_5x4G is not recognized by the CP 5x1_5x4SG model. I
have done a lot of CLI to check it. All the other phones (7975, 7962,
7942, 7931 and 7936) are registered but these not!!!!
I guess it should be necessary to have the firmware of this model
loaded before having these phones registered but I don't know where to
find this as it is not even existing in the support download software
area.
Thanks for your help.

Attach your configurations excluding the passwords and also collect the following debugs when you first plug in your phone-
debug tftp events
debug ephone register
show cdp neighbor detail
Thanks,
Anthony

For what its worth, I have just configured a UC560 with a CP521G and a CP524S and factory defaulted the system and then used TSW too add the phones and users. I specified the "G" for both models even though the one is an S. We dont have phone loads or CCA support for the S model explicitly, but it seems to work for the G.
Looks like they both are on the SW from inside the SWP 8.0.4, which is 8.1.17

Hi steven,
I did also unsuccessfully...

From the tftp debugs the phones looking for these files-
000354: Aug 24 08:34:11.055: TFTP: Looking for SEP00211BFCC104.cnf.xml
000355: Aug 24 08:34:11.059: TFTP: Looking for XMLDefault524G.cnf.xml
000356: Aug 24 08:34:11.063: TFTP: Looking for XMLDefault.cnf.xml
The 524G.cnf.xml file is there on flash. QQ: Did you manual configure "cnf-file location flash:" or was that configured by CCA?
A quick test would be from the CLI configure "no cnf-file location" under "telephony-service". Then do "no create cnf" then "create cnf". Reset the phone and see if it registers. If it doesn't recollect the 'show run" and 'debug tftp events' ouptut.
Thanks,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Thanks for your help but I have found the solution.
I have deleted completely the flash and then reloaded the IOS, CME and CUE on the UC560 and after proceed with the francisation as we are French speaking. After this I have connected only the 521_524SG IP Phones on the UC560 and then proceed with the TSW (as recommended by di-stephano) to configure manually each phone by considering the firmware of the 521_524G. I observed that the firmware of these IP Phones have been upgraded and the cp524-8-1-17.bin have been loaded successfully.
Everything is ok from now.
Thanks for your support.
Regards.
