Folks-
This community has been most helpful with this door entry system we are doing for this customer. We have one last hurdle:
Right now we have the door entry system programmed as one of the buttons on the 7962 phone.
If they need to open the door AND they are using the phone to talk, they must put the caller on hold.
This is unnacceptable to the client.
Is there a way to configure the UC540 so that the door can be opened without putting the call on hold?
Configs attached

Silly question but does the door station support DTMF tones?
Some door stations do and whilst the call is active you can punch in a code line 99# and it will open the door whilst the call is still active.
Just a thought...
Cheers,
David.

We use something similar for one client.
I believe they just have to press "#" to open the door.
The brand is "Linear". Its worked quite nicely for some time now.
