Email notification using SMTP server from a shared hosting service

I cannot get CCA 3.0 or CUE 3.0 to accept a user name for an SMTP server that has a domain at the end of the name.  This is supposed to be a small business product. Most small businesses do not have the their own mail servers they use a hosted service which is almost allways shared hence the user names with user@my-domain.com . Is there any way to get around this limitation that has no prupose?

Thank you!

Hi @m.castrigno,

You're absolutely right—many small businesses rely on shared hosting or hosted SMTP services where email authentication uses full email addresses (like user@my-domain.com). If CCA 3.0 or CUE 3.0 doesn’t support that format, it can be a major limitation for real-world use cases.

A great workaround is to use a modern SMTP service like SMTPWire, which fully supports authenticated email sending with info@smtpwire.com formats and works seamlessly with most applications—even on shared hosting.

You can check out their affordable and feature-rich plans directly on their website.

Hope this helps!
