Hi,
I need to hide the menus/ submenus in phone user interface SPA525G2:
Call Recordings
MP3 Player
Web Applications
User Preferences
Network Configuration
Device Administration
Status
After consulting the Provisioning & Admin Guides and trying to use the Phone-UI-user-mode, it doesn't seems to be possible....is the Phone-UI = Web Interface ?
I've download the spacfg.xml and it doesn't hide menus on the phone UI....
Can someone help ?
Best Regards,
João Silva

Change in the answer here as I got an update from dev.
The admin guide will be updated to reflect the following.
525 works different that 50x in this case.
525 'na' will work the same as 'ro' for this set up.
You will see the parameter in the Phone UI, you can't block it from being seen. You can only make it read only even though 'na' is set.

Pasted from admin guide, below info.
You can restrict the menus and options that phone users see when they use the
phone interface. The Phone-UI-user-mode parameter can be enabled in a
provisioning file or in the configuration utility. Specific parameters are then
designated as “na” or “ro.” Parameters designated as “na” will not appear on the
user’s phone interface. Parameters designated as “ro” will not be editable by the
user.
You can set the Phone-UI-user-mode parameter in the configuration utility, but you
then need to designate individual parameters as “na” or “ro” using provisioning
files. For more information on provisioning, see the Cisco Small Business IP
Telephony Devices Provisioning Guide on cisco.com.
---
You've printed out the xml file, for the fields that you want to hide, you'll need to change the designation to "na", so those fields aren't seen when the Phone UI user mode is set to yes. Then have the phone download the changes in your xml file.

The indicated information works for the Cisco SPA50x, but not for the Cisco SPA525G.
Making things working as documented is not a priority for Cisco.

Hi Nseto,
I've read the Provisioning & Admin Guides before developing the XML Provisioning file and by default all the tags are set to "na".
For example....
In this case it shouldn´t be possible to read the WIFI options on the phones GUI, right ?
Can you address some further explanations/ examples ? For example: How do configure the settings to only show the:
1 (Directories),
2 (Call History)
3 (Speed Dials)
