How do I: Label and FXS Port

How do I name an FXS Port so that when a call comes in from that analog line, it will say DOORPHONE instead of FXS

Hi Scott,

I am not in the lab so I cannot verify this quickly. But phone connected to the FXS port is just like a regular IP phone that can be assigned to a user. Try creating "DoorPhone" as the user and assign the phone to it.

Thanks for your question on the FXS port labeling.

This is accomplished by creating a user on the:Users Tab with the name DOORPHONE and then on the

Assign Phones tab drag and drop the FXS phone from the Unassigned Phones to the user DOORPHONE.

Apply the settings and after the configuration is applied the the user DOORPHONE will be applied.
