I have done this once before but dont have the notes. I think I have a bad CF card and want to replace it.
I remember that I only need to put a minimal bit of software onto the card in order to boot it up and be able to run CCA and the software pack upgrade.
I know there is a cli command I have to enter to get it to boot/activate/? the CF card as I tried this in the past and it wouldnt work. I have no need to back-up or save anything on the existing card.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

It has been 5 years since you posted, but:
As of Fall 2013, Cisco doesn't seem to have released any official documents for shoehorning in a 512mb/1024mb CF Card upgrade.
I suppose that I'll have to do it in a lab environment and see if I butcher a unit.

Actually the OP is only 15 months old, and fall 2013 has not begun yet
Anyway there is no need for an official document to replace a CF card. Insert, format, copy files.
