Key System Mode and Auto Attendant

I have a situation where a client has numerous phones in the same room (auto parts store) and quite a bit of call volume. In the past they have been using an AT&T Partner running as a key system. Everyone is used to picking up the ringing line, placing it on hold and shouting "John line one". We are moving them to a UC520 and configuring it in Key System mode seems most appropriate, however, they would like Auto Attendant to answer after hours. The problem I'm running in to here is this:

1. In Key System mode all trunk lines show on all phones, they don't ring to a blast group, so how can Auto Attendant get the call?

2. If we switch the inbound trunks to ring a blast group, then an extension answers the call against his/her extension so the hold button becomes exclusive. The only way I see around that is to have them park calls (which they absolutely won't even discuss).

Hopefully I'm missing something easy here......

Thanks in advance!!
Bryan

Hi Bryan,  please take a look at this document that one of our team members wrote.  It will explain how you can emulate a key system but still have PBX functionality.

For the auto attendant you can always set the call forward no answer to point to the auto attendant extension.

Please update the UC520 with the latest software packs and use the newest version of CCA to configure the system.
