Lancom ISDN Router behind UC560 for FAX Server

Hi,

our UC560 has two built BRI ports and another two BRIs through a VIC card.

BRI ports 0/1/0 and 0/1/1 are used for connecting the UC to the external ISDN Network (works great) (p-t-p)

BRI port 0/2/0 currently is used for an external p-t-mp connection

BRI port 0/2/1 is configured for network emulation

interface BRI0/1/0

no ip address

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn map address * plan isdn type subscriber

isdn map address .* plan isdn type subscriber

isdn static-tei 0

trunk-group fdAnlagen 64

!

interface BRI0/1/1

no ip address

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn map address .* plan isdn type subscriber

isdn static-tei 0

trunk-group fdAnlagen 63

!

interface BRI0/2/0

no ip address

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn incoming-voice voice

trunk-group fd_mga 64

!

interface BRI0/2/1

no ip address

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn overlap-receiving

isdn protocol-emulate network

isdn layer1-emulate network

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn send-alerting

isdn skipsend-idverify

line-power

The following dial peer is setup to route calls with the extensions "300" to the ISDN interface:

dial-peer voice 101 pots

description "**ISDN-NET-BRI**"

destination-pattern 300

port 0/2/1

If I attach an ordinary ISDN telephone via a crossed cable to port 0/2/1 and configure it to MSN 300 it all works great. I can receive calls with the phone and I can place calls.to internal and external destinations, although if I off-hook the phone I don't get a dial-tone. Don't know why - never thought this was important.

If I attach an AVM Fritz!Box to the BRI 0/2/1 I can't get it to work at all.

my next try was a LANCOM ISDN Router which was lying around in my office

If I attach it to the BRI 0/2/1 it works if configured the following way:

- DSS1

- Point-To-Multipoint (Auto also works)

- Leave the MSN field empty

My windows FAX-Server will then greatfully accept calls made to extension 300 on my UC560. If I put in "300" into the MSN-field it does not work anymore. No ringtone, no busytone the connection just gets reset.

I'm also not able to make any outgoing calls with my lancom device, I immediatley get a "busy" reply within windows fax - wherever this comes from.

Any ideas on how to get dial tone working when using a standard ISDN phone on the BRI-port?

Any ideas on how to make my lancom able to make outgoing calls?

thanks + regards,

Fabian

Dial-tone to a BRI phone is unlikely to be doable, but you can take a trace as below.

For failed calls take "debug isdn q931" with "term mon".
