Outbound Faxing from UC500

After configuring the onramp service for a customer's inbound faxes they like the service so much they wondered if it could work sending outbound.  Everything I have researched for the offramp service indicates that it only allows you to send an already received fax that is sitting in a CUE mailbox to a local fax machine for printing purposes.  Is this correct?  Whether using CLI or CCA to configure can the UC500 send outbound faxes from a users desktop?   Meaning, can a user create a word doc or something similar and then send that document to the UC500 where it gets converted to fax and sent to the outgoing number?

Let me be more clear. I am well aware of the tech lab for onramp/offramp

and have configured onramp several times. What I am asking is if the

offramp service allows users to send faxes outbound. All I have read about

the service is it allows for printing to a local fax machine and does not

provide the ability to send outbound faxes. I am trying to confirm

functionality of the service.

In terms of CCA support, only T37 fax on ramp is supported.

I understand CCA only supports onramp with the release of CCA3.0. I also

understand there is no CLI support on new UC540 and UC560 systems as of

January 3rd. My question still remains, though, regarding the functionality

of the offramp service. I am not asking how to configure anything via CLI

or CCA. What I need to know is does the UC500 platform support faxing

outbound whether using the offramp service or some other service. Again,

all I have read about it states that it will only send already existing

faxes in a CUE mailbox to a local fax machine. Can anyone confirm this?

I am a small company and have to provide technical support as well as

perform sales so this is a question I need to know the answer to when

dealing with customers.

Yes the UC500 platform does support faxing both in and out bound for analog and digital signaling. Hopes this helps !!
