Questions about autoattendant features

Can anyone answer the following about the autoattendant on the BE 3000 please:

  1. When you choose the wav file you want to use for the Open/Closed prompts, are these wav files stored on the BE3000 itself or is it uploaded from the client machine you happen to be using at the time? I would like to upload multiple wav files to the BE3k like one for standard closed hours, one with a message about being closed for Christmas, one with a message about being closed for New Year's, etc. It would be nice if I could upload all of the wavs to the device and then train a user how to change them for the appropriate occassion.
  2. Are there any plans to include some type of holiday or closed schedule feature in future releases? So I don't have to manually swap out wav files.
  3. Is there currently, or will there be in future releases a Night Switch feature?

Thanks!

HI Tyler,

1. Uploaded wav files are stored on the BE3k system. AA on BE3K supports open and closed hours mode. But multiple wav files for one mode is unfortunately not supported. Hence if you upload a closed for Christmas wav file in Closed hour menu, it will overwrite the existing wav file. For Closed for new year greeting, you will have to upload a new wav file between Christmas & New year.

2. The system does not distinguish between closed for weekend and closed for holiday. It is basically whether the business  is Open or Closed. In different Menu for Open and closed hours, there is a tab to configure Business hours when the business wlll be open. If it is not configured for a day, it is assumed that the business is closed on that day.

Does that meet your requirement or are u looking for something else?

3. Night switch feature is on roadmap, but there is no committed release date yet.

Thanks

Before you run the Cisco Business Edition 3000 First Time Setup Wizard, localized greeting for auto attendant, and music on hold source audio file to a single USB flash drive. Insert the key, and then run the Cisco Business Edition 3000 First Time Setup Wizard. After you run the Cisco Business Edition 3000 First Time Setup Wizard and the server restarts, you may keep the USB flash drive inserted in the server, which allows you to perform additional tasks, such as uploading the greeting and music on hold source audio file to the Cisco Business Edition 3000 Administrative Interface.

Chandra:  Yes, all the Wave files will be saved in the server and not on the client machine. You can upload as many Wave files as you want and use them, the way you wanted.

  • •2.     Are there any plans to include some type of holiday or closed schedule feature in future releases? So I don't have to manually swap out wav files.

Chandra: Yes, in Placid it would be available. Please see the Auto attendant futures guide for more info below.

Chandra: Please see the Auto attendant features guide. All these are currently available with 8.6.4 version.
