Had a frustrating day yesterday trying to bring up an UC320W. I can't be the only person this has happened to.
SA520 has default VLAN's and subnets already set-up - VLAN 1 = 192.168.10.X, VLAN 100 = 10.1.1.X (SBCS 2.0 standard)
I want to put the UC320W in back of the SA520.
I'm sure if I think about it long enough I'll figure out what I'm doing stupidly but I seem to be in a little catch-22:
Even when I set it to configure over WAN port, the presence of the 192.168.10.X address on the WAN side makes the unit inaccessible.
If I set-it up standlone, I can't get past the topology screen since there is no external DHCP server.
If I leave it as the DHCP server, I can't hook it to the WAN (2 DHCP servers.)
Does anyone have a documented process for dealing with this?
I can hook up the UC320W directly to a router port or through an ESW switch. I'd rather hook up the phones to the switches not through the UC320W.

Hi ambleside,
We have a document dealing with your scenario. We term it Grayfield configuration. What it boils down to is that you need to create a separate VLAN on your SA520 to connect the WAN interface of the UC320W to. You can get the document here (requires Partner login):
http://tools.cisco.com/s2slv2/ViewDocument?docName=EXT-AS-370391
More documentation is available here:

Hope this helps,

Perfect! This should be issued to every partner who gets a demo UC320 unit! Had I known it existing, I'd have 3 (billable) hours of my life back....

Does any one have a document that describes adding a UC320 to an existing network with SBS server and a Mediatrix 4404 ISDN gateway?
