Dear All,
is it possible to use SPA3102 to convert fax signal incoming on FXO port to SIP on t.38.
Let's assume that we have fax incomin on PSTN line and we don;t want to recieve it on the fax machine connected to fxs port of the SPA3102, but we want to send it to remote device via VoIP and T.38 codec.
We have tried to achieve such configuration but it seems that gateway doesn't try to negotiate T.38 on the VoIP..
Maybe some of you have greater experience in sending fax from PSTN via VoIP and t.38, how can we achieve it?
Thanks,
Lukasz

Dear Lukasz;
Not possible, T.38 is initiated only from FXS, not FXO. The only way is to do it with G.711 passthrough. Force codec to G.711 and disable echo and jitter control.

Alberto
