Hi,
I am using a SPA400 on France Telecom PSTN line.
But it gets only from ~ each second incoming call the CID.
Before I used a SPA3102 without any problem.
I tried to use the same values of the SPA3102 in the SPA400.
But in the SPA400 I do not have the same values, which I need to setup correctly the CID detection.
Here the values which works fine with a SPA3102 in France :
How can I configure the SPA400 correctly with the values for France ?

Dear sir;
Two questions. Did you use the SPA9000 setup wizard to configure it and the latest beta SPA400 firmware 1.1.2.3? These two should solve your issue.

Alberto

Hi,
1. No because its connected to a Asterisk system
2. I could not find this fw at CISCO's web site.
The only official availible is the fw v. 1.1.2.2.

I see, please set the following on the SPA400. Will make sure you receive the BETA firmware.

Hi Alberto,
I did not receive the FW nor an explication how to setup the SPA400 with these values.
Please send me the FW and the howto.
BTW In the meantime I found a very detailed document which explain the function of french caller ID at France Telecom and how to setup theSPA3102 FXO port to get it work correctly. Maybe this will help you.Its only in french.
Thanks

Dear Alberto,
Attached the backup of a SPA3102.
This device is quit (not perfect) working good.
I configured it based on the document which I forwarded you in my last mail.
Compared to the SPA400, the SP3102 has more choices/values to configure the device more exactly.
Maybe this will help you, too.

Dear Montilla,
Sorry for the late reply.
The new fw works better.
On french PSTN lines, we can get CallerID name and number.
When I connect a Siemens Gigaset C455 (PSTN) to a France Telecom PSTN line and there is an incoming call, it shows me i.e.
"John Doe"
"0123456789"
(BTW, the name was NOT stored in the phonebook of the phone)
But when I connect the SPA400, I will only get the number and not the name.
How can I get both CID informations ?
Thanks
Harrry

Dear Sir;
Could you please send us network traces and syslog information for the SPA400 on this case? I would need to escalate it on the support chain.
Regards
Alberto

Hi,
Which syslog settings of the SPA400 do you need ?
There are many options !
Please detail.
I will make a Wireshark trace at the same time.

Dear Alberto,
Its very easy to duplicate/check :
Just take a SPA9000 and connect to one of the FXS ports the SPA400 FXO port.
When I connect my Siemens C455 (french version) to the FXS port of the SPA9000 and call them internally from one of SPA9xx phones connected to the SPA9000, the Siemens C455 shows me name and number of the internal caller.
But with the SPA400 will show only the number and NOT the name.
Thanks

Dear Sir,
Im having an issue with caller ID in Greece
I've tested the beta firmware 1.1.2.3
but i still get anonymous caller at SPA962
I also used the settings in "spa400 localization configuration"
(2 spa400 + trixbox)
(6 PSTN + 1 GSM)

Hi apostolisss,
Try these settings for the SPA400 (attached file)
After some hours trying and testing, it works quit well now with my Elastix.
IMO, theses settings can also work for you, too.
BTW, "spa400 localization configuration" did NOT work at all here in France, too.
Bye
Harry
