Hello,
I wonder if you can help - I've got 20x Cisco SPA 504G Telephones, as soon as a call comes through there the Caller ID has been hidden the only options available for the call is Conf - there is no option to transfer - does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
The PBX Provider has said it's a issue with the phones.
Thanks

There is a known issue with the latest firmware versions which causes this sort of problem - I think the latest version without the issue is 7.5.5b

Hello Matthew,
Yep 7.5.5b is OK re: transferring calls with Anon Caller ID but with that version we get issues with the phones within a hunt group continuing to ring after the call has been answered.
I spoke to Cisco Supp last week and I'm waiting for them to come back to me as there is apparently a release of 7.5.6a with the Anon fix within it.
All will be resolved with 7.5.7 when it eventually decides to make an appearance.
These 504s have been the bain of my life :)

How do you update to 7.5.5b as it only contains the bin file?

The .bin file is the only required file for update in all versions.
Put in on a TFTP/FTP/HTTP server, then either
1. set Upgrade_Rule option to the URL of such file.
2. use your browser and open http://<ip-of-your-phone>/admin/upgrade?<url-of-the-bin-upgrade-file>
