I've been searching everywhere for a solution to the laptop/SPA504G PC Port problem which my customer is experiencing; this involves the cable not registering as being connected in the Network and Sharing Centre, here are two links I have found:

Restarting the phone, which looks like the most common temporary fix, didn't make any difference and the cable is still apparently not connected.
There is no link-light on the laptop and the web interface shows the PC Port: Link Down status.
Software Version 7.5.5 / Hardware Version 1.0.3
My colleagues and I all have the same phone and Software Version however ours works and my customer's doesn't...
Is there any legitimate fix to this or has it dropped off the radar?
