SPA509G 7.6.2c
First off I have setup 100+ SPA5XX phones so I am familiar with the setup procedures. I use a SPA509G as I do a considerable amount of testing with our PBX servers and the many lines make it much easier. I cannot seem to register to two different PBX with public IPs that are in the same subnet. The domain name resolves fine and that same phone registers to other servers within that TLD.
ext 1 cloudswitch1.example.com registers fine
ext 12 cloudswitch2.example.com Failed - Not Reachable
When I put in the IP address it works perfectly. The DNS resolves properly and returns the same IP address I use when I enter the IP address in the proxy field.
Now when I reverse the order of the extensions
ext 1 cloudswitch2 registers fine
ext 12 cloudswitch1 Failed - Not Reachable
Interestingly when I disable the cloudswitch1 extension in the SPA509G the cloudswitch2 registers to the hostname fine. cloudswitch1 and cloudswitch2 are public IPs in the same subnet. The hosts are x.x.x.79 and x.x.x.80
Any way you slice it its weird. Always works fine when I manually enter the IP.
