SPA509G's become unassocated, show 6 digit extension - UC320w

I have a UC320w that has been running fairly smoothly for about 2 years.  More recently I have been having a problem where occasionaly an extention will no longer be associated with the user, and will just show a default registration (ex. 770111).  The status shows registered when i log in to the system.  Rebooting the system or phone does not resolve the issue.  The only way I have been able to fix it is to delete and re-create the user and then re-assign the phone.

Is there an easier way to resolve this problem or a fix for it?

You have done the right way to fix it if rebooting phone/UC320W was not able to fix the issue.
