Spa525g2 - Have two ISP's in the office. In an attempt to measure better call quality between the two, we switched the phone systems to the other ISP and then back to the original ISP all hardwired through LAN. On rebooting only three of the five phones were able to reconnect, the remaining two fail to connect to the LAN but do connect through WLAN. Troubleshooted this with the Hosted PBX service for four hours to no avail. These units are less than 2 months old and only have 2 weeks of mileage on them. Suggestions or warranty service contact number would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Martin

Check you DHCP setting on each VLAN. Sounds like a DNS issue.

Hi Savoy,
We do not have a VLAN set up, the two ISP's are on independent network lines. There are three other SPA525g2's on the same network that are and have been effectively connected to the LAN. Again, this issue only began when I switched all the phone to the other Network in the office and then back again.

This has also been linked to a wiring problem. May want to try a different drop.

Thank you for the reply. It is not a wiring issue, it is a phone issue. Tried completely different network, and different wiring...other phones are fine.

Hi Martin,
In the phones that are not working, go to their menu and reset them to factory defaults, then re-program them again with the settings you want, do not turn wireless on, leave that unconfigured the device doesn't like to have two concurrent connections going, it tends to bork at this.
Cheers,
David.

Thank you David. We had taken this step early on in the troubleshooting process already, it didn't help.
Any other ideas?

Hi There,
What's the chances of you taking a picture if the failed phone and posting
it?

Here it is, the top three lights blink orange and the mute button is solid red.

Hi Martin,
Deeply sorry for taking so long to get back to you
That looks exactly like what happens when the phone no longer has a path
back to the phone system, which I believe is your issue right?
Have you logged into the browser of the phone and verified the settings for
each button and made sure the user settings are 100% correct?
Also is there a log or debug section in the phones GUI? I haven't seen the
phone before when operating on this basis so not too sure what is enabled
or disabled, it would be good to see if it is failing registration which is
what the phone looks like the state its in.
I assuming here that the phone is in SIP modem right? Sorry responding via
email so haven't had a chance to read back to the original post, if this is
the case have you checked with the ITSP for logs on failed registration
attempts??
Apologies in advance if you have already gone through all this
Cheers,
David.
