I wish to provide QoS best practice by configuring seperate VLANS for data and voice. I am using the SRW208P switch. With the 7940 IP phone and a catalyst switch one would trust CoS and trust device cisco Phone and configure an Aux VLAN at the switch. Can anyone assist me with the equivalent using the SMB hardware?

Hi beckerli,
The SPA9000 Installation Guide addresses QoS/CoS on a switch which you may find relevant to your SPA942 question:
The SRW208P's admin Guide will also be of use to you:
Here's a document about VLANs and DSCP in a small business env. that you may find interesting:
https://www.myciscocommunity.com/docs/DOC-7433
The SPA942 by default marks SIP with a ToS/DiffServ value of 0x68 and RTP with 0xb8 [DSCP cs3 and ef respectively]
Configure at phone's web-ui > Ext N tab > Network Settings >
By default, the phone does not have VLANs enabled and does not tag the PC port data either.
Configure at: System tab > VLAN Settings >

Patrick
