uc540 Call FWD All from one extension to another

I am very familiar with CUCM, CUC and alternate extensions. However, when i configure call forward all for UC540, its able to reach the ip phone but when theres no answer, the caller gets the there is no mailbox associated to that extension. From what i have read, CUE is seeing the caller is trying to leave a voicemail for 2004 but is in 2017 voicemail profile. Is there a translation rule i am missing?

Hello Jason,

 

You may need to check the last redirect setting in the CUE.

You need to select "original called number" instead of "last redirected party".

In CUE the default is last redirected party while in Cisco Unity is original called number by default that is why the behaviour may look different to you.

It will affect the cfna and cfb going to the CUE, not the call transfers as a whole.

You can always test the rest before and after making the change.

The setting is in the CUE not in the CME.

The flow is like this Auto attendant option 3 calls ext 5001

call blast group 5001 no answer forward to extension 2017

Termed employee 2004 cfna cfb 2017

both forwards do not get picked up by unity.

Henry by making your change will this affect call transfers? or is it to aid with cfna and cfb?

It's been soo long since i had to mess wiht UC540, i was about to enable the trigger for direct to voicemail. Your recommendation was 100% accurate thanks again.
