UC540 initial setup help

Just picked up a replacement for a old UC540 that's been running for 7 years and I can't remember how to get the networks ports to "turn on" and assign IP so I can setup with CCA.

I logged in with putty and did the "intital" configuration that sets the passwords, checked the flash card "sh flash" and confirmed all the files are there, copied the default config to start-config. Not sure what to do next....

I ran the show run and the file I am transferring either had next to no config or it is not copying...

I also found 2 two different camps of info one that says

copy.... start-config 

&

copy.... startup-config

anyone know which one is correct?
