I have been trying to configure to voicemail to email feature with no luck. I have all the seetings in the UC complete (enabled feature, smtp server, port, etc)
We have an ASA 5510 and the UC540 is in the DMZ with a dedicated external ip address. The default IP address on the UC540 is 192.168.10.1 for the data VLAN, 10.1.1.1 for the Voice VLAN and 10.1.10.1
The exchange server sits in the inside interface at 192.168.75.8.................... I believe I am missing a static route but I am not sure. I am not able to ping the UC from the exchange server and if I VPN into the UC I can not ping the exchange server.
Thanks for any help.

Hello Cory,
You need route from 10.1.10.1 to 192.168.75.8 (10.1.10.0 255.255.255.252 to 192.168.75.0 255.255.255.0) and vise versa.
So you should add this route to the asa and on the UC depending on your configuration. Most probably you will need to enable the communication through the Firewall also.
Sometimes you may have enabled the communication only with ICMP but not on the specific ports for SMTP (25, 587 or 465) or the other way around so check the firewall too.
You may always test the communication with the SMTP server on the Web GUI of the CUE where in ver 8.6 and later you have option to send test email.
HTH,
Alex
