The webgui was working previously but now when I go to http://UC540-IP/ccme.html I get the logon prompt but after logging on I get the blue/gray background with "View Window" in the upper left and nothing else.
I've tried http, https, and both with IE and Firefox. Same results.
Any ideas?

Hello,
Please remove the quotation marks under each of the directory entry under telephony-service section.
e.g.:
directory entry 1 011442392314524 name "Andrew McQuilken" should look like
directory entry 1 011442392314524 name Andrew McQuilken
etc.
Best regards,
Alex

I understand and I have seen that happen a lot.
1. Is option 150 handed out by the DHCP server? This is what is used for the phones to use different ringtones and background images etc etc.
3. The module needs a way out similar to a device inside a device. Inside of wasting an entire subnet, a point to point link is created.
4. QoS - Protect your voice network from broadcast storms and faulty NICs which can take down you phone connectivity, Security - Protect you from Man in the middle attacks where someone can take a hub and start to listen into conversations.

Hi gmgarrian
It is configs like this that make me such a strong advocate of CCA, again a perfect example of a CLI cowboy who took no consideration of those who might come after them to work on the system (This being you who is stuck with it) I would love to slap them with a wet fish..
Marcus was being really conservative I think with his 25% claim, I am thinking much higher amount would require change to get it to work right and proper he must be talking about just trying to get it to work, and to be honest with you that is almost borderline doing a rebuild in terms of how much effort is required.
I promise you even if we stayed the course and helped you to get it going in its present state, it will be nothing more than a shoe string fix and will break again sooner or later.
Not to make you feel bad as you shouldnt because you inherted this from an inconsiderate BAS*#$D who left behind a dogs breakfast for someone else to clean up.
I only hope there is a way to encourage you to look at a rebuild, 4 hours of your time tops would be required to do it on a weekend... Alas if this is not an option then we will have to work out some form of time to give you CLI support because SBSC wont touch this with a 45 foot barge pole (If they did I would be surprised and shake the persons hand that helps you out).
I am hesitent to give support on this especially over the forums, this is not a cut and dry solution and any advice I give you could cause you more problems than what you already have... Gggrrrrrrrr I really feel for you right now
Cheers,
David.

Thanks for all the info. This has been a very informative thread for me. I have a lot of experience with CME/CUE and CUCM/UCONN but not the UC5xx platforms. So I probably dug myself a bigger hole that what I started with. I can't speak to the IP assignments and the core configuration. My changes are things like speed dials, directory entries, etc.
I am confortable managing this system via the CLI but I will work on getting myself more familiar with the CCA so this doesn't happen again.

What ever you do please continue to speak to all of us for assistance... Having CME/CUE experience is great, but the UC-500 despite what others may say, is a different kettle of fish.
If you need to get this system up and going as it is, then I am happy to help you with the CLI side of it, I just wanted to avoid making life harder for you.
Please dont forget to ask as many questions as possible
Cheers,
David.
