Hi,

I have installed a VWIC2-2MFT-T1 card into UC540. And I configured everything using CCA. I can see the new E1/T1 tab in CCA Telephony -> Ports and Trunks ->PSTN trunk setting.

I configured it as E1

Channel Signaling: ISDN PRI

Switch type: Primary NET5

Bear capability: Speech

Time slot: 1-31

Then, I connected the crossover E1 cable to the port, the other side is to our carrier's port directly.  The port AL alarm is solid yellow/amber.

I am using lastest CCA 3.2.3

firmware 8.6.2.

show controllers e1 says the E1 is still down?

E1 0/2/0 is down.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced
  Transmitter is sending remote alarm.
  Receiver has loss of signal.
  alarm-trigger is not set
  Version info Firmware: 20100222, FPGA: 13, spm_count = 0
Framing is CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Line.
Data in current interval (94 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 94 Unavail Secs
Total Data (last 4 15 minute intervals):
102 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations,
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins,
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 3600 Unavail Secs

I noticed the loss of signal error and tried all the possible cables. I am sure I am using the correct one. (pin 1,2,4,5, reverted at other side, and I used the same cable to connect from the carrier to our another sangoma E1 gateway, it works)

Is the card broken? how can I check that?

Could someone please help? Thanks in advance.

PS: I am in Australia and I am sure the port is not in administrative shutdown.

Check the framing. Now is CRC4. Try "framing no-crc4".

Try a straight cable 1,2,4,5.

Test the controller e1 whit "loopback" command.

Regards.
