I have recently installed a brand new UC560 with the latest software pack. The phone system is working flawlessly, however there is no music on hold. When a call is placed on hold there is just a faint ticking sound. I have made sure that the correct MOH file is selected in CCA, and I have even ran a show flash command to see that the MOH files were on the flash, and they are. I also tried plugging in an external music source with no luck, just the same ticking sound. Could this possibly be a hardware issue?

Hello Shaun,
This could be due to transcoding.
Maybe another misconfiguration but less likely to be hardware issue.
HTH,
Alex
EDIT: You may just need to save the configuration and reload the UC. This also helps in some occasions.

Hi Shaun,
Something is not right if you cannot even play it from the input port, this would indicate the media stream is not going through especially if you are hearing that dreaded ticking noise.
Can you please post your configuration file up here with all the sensative stuff removed so we can have a look at it and make sure your config file hasnt gone a stray.
Cheers,
David Trad.
