Is it possible to register a Linksys SPA941 SIP phone to a UC500?
I heard some where that the new Cisco 3911s were just rebranded Linksys phones. Is there any truth to this?

Yes, if the phone is local on the lan, just configure mac address under voice register pool. Else, you need to configure username and password. A matching config must also be done on the phone. Cisco doe not officially support non-cisco phones, however,
Cisco and linksys are kinf sharing various phone design and will do even more in the future (cp-521, cp-524).

Thanks... I've been trying to get one to register and have been wondering if it is even possible... I'll keep at it and post back if I am still having problems.

Confirmed. Just got my phone to register.
Just and FYI to any else trying this - ensure you use the extension number as the UID. I was trying to use the Unity username which threw me for bit.
Cheers,
Josh

Absolutely. I didn't mentioned that as a challenge for the reader :)
