Spa504G 7.5.4 and 7.5.1a Search in Enterprise Directory results in a reboot (Kernel.Error).

Hi All,

I have a problem with the Cisco SPA504G and searching in the Broadsoft Enterprise Directory when i am using firmware 7.5.4. The Phone reboots if i search on first name etc with reboot reason : System 4(12/12/2012 10:44:59).

With firmware 7.5.2b the phone gives a result but only when i enter the full first name of a person beginning with a capital.

With firmware 7.5.3 the phone gives a result if i enter only the first 2 letters off the first name beginning wit a capital.

With firmware 7.5.4 the phone reboots with reboot reason : System 4(12/12/2012 10:44:59).

I was glad to see that with firmware 7.5.3 you can search the contact with entering only the 2 first letters. So for now i am going to use 7.5.3 but 7.5.4 also had some fixes.Strange that a newer firmware like 7.5.4 gives i Kernel Error while it works on 7.5.3. I think its time for a new release.

I have made a syslog see the attached file.

I hope it gets solved soon.

We have exactly the same problem with the SPA504G firmware 7.5.1a.

We hope also to get it solved soon, because our provider can't support this case....

I tested it and it works with firmware 7.5.3 i see you still use 7.5.1a upgrading to 7.5.3 will solve this problem for you.

Do not use 7.5.1a or 7.5.2b or 7.5.4 when you want to use the Enterprise Directory from Broadsoft.
