SSL connection to UC560 through Sonicwall firewall

Please forgive me if I'm posting this to the wrong group.. We have recently install a Cisco UC560 phone system behind our Sonicwall TZ170 firewall (running the enhanced OS). We have a SPA525G2 phone that we would like to deploy at an employee's home and have it connect to the phone system using SSL through the firewall.  My my (somewhat limited) understanding this should be possible.

To complicate matters somewhat, we have separate networks for data and voice (many of our data switches).

We have placed the phone on our data network and set it up to SSL vpn into the phone system and it works. I then used the 'public server wizard' on the firewall and set up https server rules to allow the internet to connect. I then connected the phone to an internet connection and tried to connect through the firewall and was unsuccessful.

Has anyone accomplished something like this?  I suspect that it's a firewall problem rather than a cisco problem, but I'm not sure..

Any assitance would be appreciated, thanks!

Jon

Hi John,

I hope you were somehow able to fix this problem after so long, but if not I would suggest below procedures (and replicate the IOS/ASA ssl approach along with the relevant certs).

Let me know if you found another solution.
