Access AUX 0 Cisco 7301

Hello everybody,

I would like to access my router Cisco 7301 through an analogic modem in the AUX port as backup access. I have had problem with the connection, the status of AUX port is changing (Modem state: Ready or Idle). This status is about the speedy negociation of modem to router.
I noticed that my router don´t have the command "modem auto discovery" in the line AUX.

My router is 7301 with IOS Version 12.4(25b)
The configuration of port is:
line aux 0
exec-timeout 5 0
password 7 130B0306
logging synchronous
modem InOut
transport input all
stopbits 1

The modem that i use is US Robotics 56K.

Somebody knows what command able the discovery in the AUX interface??

Set router port speed to 38400, same on the modem (fixed). You should not need anything else.
