We currently use local pools on our ASA for Anyconnect client addressing. I'm doing some testing with using our internal DHCP servers to see how that would work.
Following the documentation, I'm able to get an address assigned from our DHCP server. However, on the DHCP server in the Unique ID Field, it's showing a ~50 character alpahnumeric string instead of the typical MAC address that's usually displayed.
It seems like the ASA is passing something besides the MAC address to the DHCP server as the client ID. Is that expected/by design? Or is there a setting that can be done to send the MAC address as the client ID?
